"Spring 2008 hair is all about PRETTY! Hair has become finished and groomed. Whether hair is worn curly, straight or slightly textured, you want your hair to look healthy and shiny with shape and definition.”
– Richard Marin (read Richard's Biography)
1. The Big Bang. Big, full bangs is an easy way to update long hair. The bangs that look the freshest this season will hit at the eyebrow and curve down, slightly rounded on the edges. However, everyone should ask their stylist what shape bang works best for their face shape.I always use a straight iron to achieve this fresh look and using one that inhibits the growth of micro-organisms on the product surface like the Remington Nano Silver line helps keep hair healthy and shiny.
2.Attack of the Bob! The bob is everywhere. What was just a trend a few months back has really taken over as the must-have haircut. This Spring calls for a soft and romantic version of the super blunt cuts of Fall 2007. To get the perfect look, I recommend women style their bob with large hot rollers or a large barrel curing iron (I prefer the 1 ¼ inch size barrel) and go for a side part that covers the forehead.
3.Twisted Up-Do. I tell my clients it’s an easy, natural version of a ballerina bun—it just shouldn’t look too severe or tight. To achieve this look, it’s simply hair that is all pulled up high on the head, ponytailed and then twisted from the pony into a bun. Then, finish by securing with bobby pins, or have some fun with it and add a fun stickpin accessory. This hairstyle looks great on straight, curly, and slightly wavy hair. It’s a classic day or evening look this season
4. Long and… Whether it’s curly, wavy, or straight, all hair textures are happening on long hair this season. The one key factor is that long hair is kept well groomed. If it’s blown out straight or simply flat ironed, make sure you are using styling tools that help protect the hair. Remington’s Shine Therapy line uses built-in vitamin shine technologies that help promote shine and just make your hair lovely to touch!
